Your jewelry box is like a map of your life, each item speaking volumes about your life's adventures and your family history.
Take a good look and you'll see so many of your life's events commemorated with jewelry. A ring for Sweet 16, your first pearl necklace, your grandmother's favorite earrings, that sexy bangle bracelet you found at the second-hand store.
Some jewelry represents the love affairs and important relationships of your life, others celebrated your accomplishments. You may have pieces that represent the loves and accomplishments of the special women in your life: your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, or best friend.
Be honest, at this point in your life, while all this jewelry may have special sentimental value, is everything in your jewelry box something you still love to wear and show off?
Of course, some jewelry is just too special to change but there's bound to be something in your collection that has great potential to become a renewed favorite part of your daily wardrobe. Award-winning jewelry designer, Star Sosa can show you how.
First of all, it’s FUN.
You'll meet with Star and together you will explore and evaluate your fine jewelry collection. She has over twenty five years experience in jewelry manufacturing and custom jewelry design. You'll be surprised and delighted with her creative suggestions.
An appointment is necessary for your Jewelry Box Review. You can book your by calling the gallery at 910-256-2323. Please allow at least thirty minutes and an hour if you have a big collection to evaluate or lots of scrap gold to process. Here is what you can expect:
1. Initial Review, Sort & Prioritizing
This will service to identify what needs to be addressed first. Star will help you to sort out what should be saved, what needs to be cleaned, what requires repairs or restoration or restyle, and what, if anything, might be a candidate to recycle or resell.
2. “Sparkle Service” (inspection and cleaning)
We will inspect and clean your jewelry, while you wait. There is no charge for up to five pieces. For more than that a nominal fee may be charged and you may have to leave the collection for a short time.
3. Expert Jewelry Repairs
Your treasures may just need a simple repair to restore them to daily use. Star will inspect them, consult with our goldsmiths, if necessary, and make recommendations.
This can include replacing damaged or missing prongs, sizing rings, pearl restringing, gem replacement, etc. Together you will decide what your budget and priorities are
and in no time you can be wearing your old favorites again.
4. “Restyle” your existing jewelry or gemstones into something new and fabulous.
Star’s will suggest her ideas for restyling your existing gems and jewelry into something new and unique. She will brainstorm with you, sketch out her ideas and, if you are interested, she will prepare the detailed custom design sketches and estimates for a nominal design fee. She can also provide additional materials and gemstones to fill out your collection.

5. Turn your old gold jewelry into gallery credit or use as materials for your new projects.
You have probably got some old gold jewelry you no longer want. Such as the gold earring that is missing its mate, a dented bangle or a broken chain. Even your old wedding ring or jewelry you inherited. If so, you might consider trading these items in towards your custom design project or use them as gallery credit to get other items. All gold is subject to inspection and must be stamped 10k, 14k or 18k. There may be a nominal fee for removing gemstones.
6. Protect your investment with documentation and appraisals.
We can photograph your special pieces and create an inventory document for your fine jewelry collection. We can also update your appraisals on important pieces. This will ensure that your insurance coverage reflects up-to-date values and information. These services are provided for an additional fee. We can also recommend excellent jewelry insurance coverage.
