Glass

Creating glass art is considered by its makers as both an artistic expression and a physical challenge.  One artist was quoted as saying "making glass was the closest job I could find to team sports"; it requires unique equipment, strength, coordination and cooperation.

Glass is crystallized light and color and to those of us who don't really understand the process, and even those who do, it's a bit magical.  The serendipitous nature of working with molten glass lends excitement and spontaneity to the final product.
