The results rendered me speechless. My great-grandmother's cluster ring
was transformed into an eye-catching stunner with the addition of a
wide gold band. My grandmother's platinum and diamond engagement ring
was delicately stretched over a blanket of gold, blending the best
features of the antique ring with the flair of a modern design. My
mother's engagement ring was joined with my own to create a
one-of-a-kind bypass ring that is equally feminine and bold. And
finally, the lovely stone from a battered 1920s ring found new life in
a contemporary pinky ring.
Some of the rings needed additional gold to augment the settings. I
gathered old wedding bands and other bent and broken pieces of 14k and
18k jewelry and watched in awe as these items reappeared weeks later in
stunning new forms. How exciting and rewarding to know that the gold
worn by generations before me is now with me each day.
None of this would have been possible without Star's artistic vision
and Michael's technical skills. They kept the best features of the old
jewelry and added just enough of a modern design to make a visual
statement. They kept within my budget and ensured that I was updated on

It was a delightful problem to have. My jewelry box contained four
diamond rings that each held great sentimental value. Unfortunately,
the rings were either outdated, too tight or looked too dainty on my
long fingers. I had seen Star Sosa's designs and knew that she and her
goldsmith, Michael Chapman , could bring new life to these rings. Star
spent time with me to ensure that her designs fit my personality and my
lifestyle. She ensured that we were both in agreement on the design and
price before beginning the projects.
