Becky Hemby is a native of North Carolina and has lived on the Outer Banks for thirty-three years. She attended East Carolina University, majoring in art education. She became facinated by candle making and apprenticed for two years with a master candle maker to learn her process. Her work is on display at 15 other locations along the coast of North Carolina.

Becky offers candles with wicks as well as ones with a night light.  She uses a double mold process. Those with a wick are refillable because only the center burns away. You can also use a votive or tea light  in the center after the candle has burned to it's limit. Candles with night lights may have a tea light put in place of the night light fixture to allow it to be used as a centerpiece or in another area without the cord.
